After three years of hard brutal caving the link between Stormy Pot and Nettebed was made...here is an account of the frist trip through the 5th deepest through cave in the world....
November 2014 - Wind Rift. The plan is to get as couple of divers down to the sump and explore beyond the sump at the end of the cave. For those not going through the sump there are leads upstream and also a very tight rift taking a lot of wind near the downstream sump
Ellis Basin 2014/2015: A return will be made to the Ellis Basin. The plan is to explore the leads in EK 3010 and push the new lead heading off the end of Black Sheep
The classic Stormy Pot to Nettlebed through trip: The entrance series to BFG is going to be derigged before christmas 2014, so anyone who wants to do the through trip let me know and lets go and do it. Best way is to fly to entrance from Pearse road end ($900.00 for the helicopter which can carry 5 people)

STORMY POT through trips
To date there have been 5 trips through the system and all who have done it have really enjoyed themselves. Usually the trip is done over three days with stops in the Chocolate room and Salvation Hall. Hoever if another day is taken there are plenty of opportunities to explore more of Nettlebed and of Stormy Pot. Let me know if you are interested as I am always keen.
