I love taking people caving. It does not matter what sort of cave we go to or how many times I have been there...its all about sharing the incredible underground world I have am very fortunate to be still exploring.

Basic Caving

Intro Caving

Intermediate Caving

Advanced Caving

Ideal for large school groups studying the cave environment.

This involves taking participants to horizontal non technical caves. That is a cave where a rope would not normally be used. This in reality is a cave experience, a chance to get underground and have a go. There would be plenty of opportunities to learn about how the caves were formed and check out the creatures that live in them.

In this envionment I woud work at a raio of 1:10 plus 1 to 2 extra adults

This ideal for students studying outdoor education. There are NZQA cave units that fit into this level. It involves more technical caves.

The trips will involve learning some climbing and belaying techniques and then tackling climbs, ladders,  lowers and squeezes. The trips would normally be longer than the Basic Caving

At this level we take caving a bit further - again ideal for outdoor ed ot PE students.

Now we get into more technical caving and you will learn how to  abseil underground and learn how to climb back up the rope useing specalist SRT equipment. All this will then be put into practice underground where the students can if they want take the opportunitu to learn the art of rigging

This is muti pitch SRT suited for those interested in going down the deep caves.

Learn the techniques of crossing rebelays, redirectors while abseilig and ascending. Also learn the complex art of multi pitch rigging and how caves are explored and mapped.
