The Alpine environment contrast beautifully with the cave environment and for me they compliment each other. The mountains are hard, the environment is cold, can be unpredictable and dangerous. However it is also an incredible place to be with people with the right training and support - watching someone get to their first summit is an unforgettable moment and one I always treasure.

I can also run progressions from walking to climbing and if the conditions are right th skills can be used to get to a summit or spend a night in a snow shelter.
